1/4″ Braided Elastic
Rotary cuter or scissors
*This will fit all standard sized mattresses in cribs and toddler beds.
1. Cut Minky 43″x 66″
2. Cut a 7″ square from each of the 4 corners.
3. Fold cut corners right sides together and PIN, PIN, PIN. Sew a 1/2″ seam.
4. Cut elastic 78″ long. Sew the elastic 1/2″ from the edge, pulling it tight as you go. Don’t worry ladies, your elastic will be long enough as long as you pull it tight! If you didn’t pull tight enough and the elastic didn’t make it around the fabric, just cut another piece of elastic and finish it off!
5. Fold edges over the elastic and sew a top stitch, pulling the elastic as you go to create a flat path for your seam.
