Do you have a shape that you just LOVE seeing in quilts? Maybe you are a triangle person, simple squares, or love seeing those circle patterns.
Me, lately I’m a hexagon type person. I just love the look hexagons make on quilts. I think they are stunning {and are so intimidating to me that I have yet to try making a project with them!}
So today, I bring you three different Hexagon projects that I have found, that I just love.
1. A “simple” modern take on hexagons
sure it may be the quilting that makes this piece jump out to me, but still, I love it. It’s simple, with a statement. Perhaps I could tackle this?
2. A bedskirt
This one I thought was fun with having the different colors outline a clump of hexagonal shapes then border the bedskirt with hexagons. Looks like a dainty little flower piece to me, perfect for my girly girl…maybe I could attempt this one.
wow. Can I just say, WOW!?! I love his quilt. Maybe it’s the colors of fabric choice, but i just love how the hexagons look. Am I nuts? I saw this and immediately wanted to make this my next project. I now am on the hunt to find the perfect pattern and fabric choice. Wish me luck!
Have you ever done a hexagonal quilt or project? any tips or tricks you’d like to pass on? Let’s hear it!

I am currently in love with hexagons, too. But circles and triangles are also at the top. I recently finished a batik string top that was done with hexagons.
